Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement Overview:

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the rental services provided by My Local Event Rentals (“the Company”) to you (“the Customer”) for the rental of party equipment and supplies. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Rental Period:

The rental period begins on the agreed-upon start date and ends on the agreed-upon return date. Extensions to the rental period may be arranged subject to availability and additional charges.

3. Booking and Payment:

To secure a rental booking, the Customer must pay a deposit as specified by the Company. The remaining balance is due prior to or upon delivery of the rental items. Payments can be made via the Company’s designated payment methods.

4. Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation of a booking must be made in writing at least 5 days prior to the start of the rental period. Cancellations made after this time may result in forfeiture of the deposit. The Company reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee in certain circumstances.

5. Equipment Condition:

The Customer agrees to return all rental items in the same condition as they were received, normal wear and tear excepted. Any damage, loss, or excessive cleaning required may result in additional charges.

6. Delivery and Pickup:

The Company will deliver and pick up rental items at the agreed-upon location and time, unless items are picked up by cutomer. The Customer must ensure that someone is present to receive the delivery and confirm the condition of the items upon receipt. Delivery and pickup are additional charges, which will be confirmed during booking prcess based on the location.

7. Liability and Indemnity:

The Customer acknowledges that they are responsible for the safe use and operation of all rental items during the rental period. The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the use or misuse of the rental items.

8. Force Majeure:

The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of nature, government restrictions, or labor disputes.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Toronto.

10. Amendments and Updates:

The Company reserves the right to amend or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Customers are encouraged to review these Terms regularly for any changes.
